Electronic Music Production, Performance & DJ'ing
Drawing on 21 years of experience of near-daily music creation with Ableton Live, Daniel (A Path Untold) has a rich history of using it to translate musical dreams into reality. Over the years throughout his own path as a producer, composer, sound designer, remixer and DJ, he has educated and inspired a wide variety of developing artists to cultivate their own creative voice using this medium. Lessons encompass everything from songwriting and development, starting and finishing tracks, arrangement, sound design, organization, mixing, mastering and everything in between. He has taught in a spectrum of contexts ranging from established music schools, one-on-one private students, group retreats and electronic music festival workshops all over North America, as well as the Believe in Music program for creative youth empowerment in Baltimore, MD.
Daniel utilizes a personalized teaching approach that is tailored to each person's specific learning pace, musical taste and stylistic goals. Throughout the various stages of music production including songwriting, sound design, arrangement, mixing and mastering, his approach emphasizes maintaining a fluid sense of excitement as the motivation to learn. In addition to teaching music production with Ableton Live, he also offers knowledge on using it to perform live sets (Live P.A.) and DJ'ing proficiently with Traktor. Behind everything he does, he draws on his training as a certified creativity coach to facilitate a learning experience that melds technical skills with the mindset and habits required to achieve an optimal workflow.
